Tough times for the projects

ByKim Vogel 02/10/202212/11/2022

2 October 2022

We are overwhelmed by the amount of malnourished patients we have at the moment at the nutrition unit. Severely wasted children are referred from other health facilities as we are the only specialized nutrition care unit in the area.
I am worried we will receive more patients soon as food prices are rising daily and gardens are just being prepared for planting.

Donor funding has made it possible for the last 10 years to offer these needed services. Unfortunately it has been challenging lately to find donors and it makes me feel sad thinking we can no longer continue with the project in the near future.

I also know that challenging times makes us stronger and creative, we have to stay positive, have trust and do whatever we can for the moment to give every patient and caretaker the best treatment they deserve.
